Job Title: Senior CEI Inspector
Location: Fort Pierce, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 (BOE & Certifications)

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior CEI Inspector for a respected civil engineering firm in the area. This full-time role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with a strong understanding of roadway, drainage, and utility inspections who thrives in the field. The Senior CEI Inspector will lead daily site inspections, ensure compliance with FDOT and local agency standards, and serve as a mentor to junior field staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily construction inspections for roadway, utility, drainage, and related civil infrastructure projects

• Monitor contractor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Generate clear, accurate daily inspection reports and maintain organized project records

• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and agencies to address and resolve field issues

• Review and verify material certifications, quality control test results, and pay quantities

• Assist in project closeout procedures and preparation of final estimates

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to junior inspection staff

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of CEI or construction field inspection experience

• FDOT certifications (CTQP, MOT, Concrete, Asphalt, Earthwork, etc.) highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, and construction procedures

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and relevant documents

• Proven leadership skills and ability to work independently in the field
