Job Title: Senior CAD Technician
Location: Fort Pierce, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (Based on Experience)

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to support a leading civil engineering firm in the area. This full-time position is ideal for a CAD professional with extensive experience in civil design drafting, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for mentoring others. The Senior CAD Technician will lead the preparation of high-quality plans for roadway, utility, drainage, and site design projects, while ensuring compliance with industry and agency drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and review detailed civil engineering drawings, including roadway, drainage, utilities, and site development plans

• Develop plan sets from preliminary concept to final design submission

• Ensure compliance with established CAD standards, QA/QC protocols, and client requirements

• Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to implement design solutions

• Mentor and guide junior CAD technicians; review their work for accuracy and adherence to standards

• Oversee CAD file management, organization, and workflow consistency across projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of CAD drafting experience in civil engineering environments

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software

• Strong working knowledge of FDOT CADD standards or similar agency drafting guidelines

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, professional deliverables

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented setting
